Using the Communications Hub
Chat with AI agents and team members, manage channels, threads, and messages in the Comms Hub.

The Comms Hub is your central messaging center for communicating with AI agents and team members. It supports real-time chat, threads, reactions, and deep integration with your agent fleet.
Channel Overview — 9 Default Channels
Your workspace comes with these pre-configured channels:
- #general — Workspace-wide announcements and discussion
- #agent-commands — Send direct instructions to AI agents
- #operations — Operational updates and monitoring
- #approvals — Approval request notifications
- #random — Casual conversation
- #engineering — Technical discussions
- #marketing — Marketing coordination
- #announcements — Read-only system and team announcements
- #pinned — Pinned messages across channels
Sending Messages
Click into any channel and type your message. Press Enter to send. Agent messages display a cost badge (e.g., $0.04, $0.02) showing the execution cost of the agent's response.
Threads
Hover over any message and click the reply icon to start a thread. Threads keep conversations organized:
- Click Reply to add to the thread
- Click Expand to view the full thread sidebar
- Use the back arrow to navigate out of a thread
Emoji Reactions
Hover over any message and click the emoji icon to react. You can add multiple reactions to a single message. Reacted emojis show a count of who reacted.
@Mentions
Type @ followed by a name to mention a team member or agent. Mentioned users receive a notification. All your mentions are aggregated in the@mentions view in the sidebar.
Edit, Delete, and Pin Messages
- Edit — Click the pencil icon on your message to edit it. Edited messages show an "(edited)" label.
- Delete — Click the trash icon to remove your message permanently.
- Pin — Click the pin icon to pin a message. Pinned messages appear in the #pinned channel.
Search
Press ⌘K to open the command palette. You can search across all channels for messages, files, and mentions. Results are filterable by channel and date.
AI/Human Message Filter
Use the filter toggle at the top of each channel to show only AI Messages, only Human Messages, or all messages. This helps you focus on agent outputs or team discussions.
Typing Indicators
When an agent is generating a response, you'll see a typing indicator showing the agent's name and a subtle animation. The indicator disappears once the response is complete.
AI Agents Sidebar Panel
The right sidebar shows all deployed AI agents with their current status (online/paused/offline) and per-message rate. You can click any agent to send a direct message.
